As the winter comes, and there are chances of snowfall, it becomes important to get started and prepared if you are deciding to drive your car, anything, Jaguar or Porches in West Sussex. The important note here is that you must be well prepared before you plan to go out in your car at the time of snow.

1.    Stock Up

Be sure that you have hot drinks, warm clothes, food and screen wash. You must also carry ice scrappers, torch, de-ice a spade and a warning triangle with you in the car. This must be carried if you expect heavy snow in the middle of your journey. Place them in the car somewhere that is easily accessible when the necessity arises to use them. Boot is a good place to be kept in, but it might stick in low temperature.

2.    Fit Winter Tires

These are not a very necessary demand in the United Kingdom. Still it can effectively make better grip on snowy or icy roads.  M and S tires that are mud and snow tires are sometimes also referred to all season tires. This actually means that they are much useful in snow and mud than those summer or normal tires. You can identify winter tires by their snow flake mark in side wall. These have deeper and wider tread than M and S tires. These also have smaller grooves built in that give remarkable grip over slippery roads. The silica technology and soft rubber material reduces stiffness in lower temperatures. This means that winter tires are best for severe to moderate snow falls. These make better grip and avoid slipping and sliding over icy roads. In nations where snow is abundant and deep, snow tire chains are a must. But in Great Britain, snow does not occur every time constantly. And so they are not normally required. Fabric snow chains, also called as Snow Socks are a better option. They can be used over normal tires if you do not want to get the winter tires.

Also always clear the snow off the roof as they may fall over windshield when you apply breaks.
